In order to register with the Tiger Sharks
Swim Team, prospective member families must
acknowledge that they have read the below team requirement
statements and agree to the
terms.
Team
Requirement 1: I understand that I am paying a $200 family fee
applicable for 9/1/2009 – 8/31/2010, which helps to pay for
coaches’ salaries and travel expenses, facility rental,
equipment, supplies, etc. I understand and acknowledge that this
fee is non-refundable.
Team
Requirement 2: In my registration, I understand that I am
paying a $60 per swimmer fee, which is used to pay USA Swimming
Dues and online registration costs. I understand and acknowledge
that this fee is non-refundable. In addition I am paying my
first month’s dues at registration. These charges are bundled
into one "Annual Registration Fee." I understand that if I have
more than one swimmer, my multi-swimmer discount will be applied as
a credit on my first monthly invoice.
Team
Requirement 3: Invoices will be posted to my account on the
21st of each month. On the first day of the next
month, payment will be deducted from the payment source I set
up in my auto pay. I understand it is my responsibility to keep my
payment information updated (i.e., update credit card expiration
dates or update bank account information for e-check payment). I
understand and acknowledge I will charged a $10 late fee penalty if
my payment information is not correct when my account is
charged.
Team
Requirement 4: I understand and acknowledge that I am
responsible to keep my account log-in / email updated as necessary.
This account email is critical for me to receive all team
correspondence.
Team
Requirement 5: If my swimmer is changing active status, I must
contact the Membership Chair (membership@tsharks.net) and Team Manager
(manager@tsharks.net) via email or written notice. No verbal
notification will be accepted. I also understand that written
notification must be received by the 15th of the month
before my swimmer changes from active status to suspended (i.e.,
inactive) status.
Team
Requirement 6: I understand that if my swimmer is in suspended
(i.e., inactive) status for more than 90 consecutive days, I will
need to re-register and pay all applicable
fees.
Team
Requirement 7: I understand that if I fail to pay my bill for
more than 60 days, my swimmer(s) will be suspended until my account
is paid in full.
Tiger
Sharks Swim Team Discipline Policy
As a swim
team, the Tiger Sharks hold safety as our utmost priority. Any
swimmer or parent who compromises the safety of anyone in the pool
or on deck will be subject to immediate consequences. Our team
endorses the following safety rules, which must be followed at all
times:
- No running on
pool deck
- No shoving or
pushing anyone into the pool
- No
diving
- No horseplay,
holding persons under, or jumping onto another team
member
- No swinging
from pool ladders
- No setting up
or tearing down of lane lines without verbal consent from
coach
- Any other
safety concern verbally stated by coaching staff when deemed
necessary
- No parents on
deck
Although we
realize it is sometimes necessary for parents to bring siblings or
other children with them to practice, parents must assume all
responsibility for any person on deck who is not a team member. We
ask that you keep children accompanying you to practice seated next
to you, or find an area outside of the pool deck to protect their
safety.
It is also
perceived as improper conduct if any team member or parent displays
disruptive, discourteous, rude or disrespectful attitudes toward
coaches, team members, or parents during a practice or
meet.
1st
Offense: Head Coach gives team member or parent verbal
warning.
2nd
Offense: Swimmer is removed from activity and parent contacted.
If a parent offense, parent is asked to leave practice, meet, or
activity and the Board is contacted.
3rd
Offense: Swimmer is dismissed from the team. If a parent
offense, all swimmers in family dismissed from team. There will be
no refund of team fees.
Vandalism of
any kind will result in immediate dismissal from the team, and may
result in financial consequences as well.
The Tiger
Sharks Swim Team reserves the right to dismiss any swimmer when we
feel it is in the best interest of the safety and well being of the
team.
